Act

  • Act1: Simba's childhood, his life with Mufasa and the Pride Lands, and the death of Mufasa. The first act sets up Simba's journey and introduces key characters.
  • Act2: Simba runs away after Mufasa' s death, lives with Timon and Pumbaa, and grows up away from the Pride Lands. This is where Simba struggles with his identity and guilt.
  • Act3: Simba returns to the Pride Lands, faces Scar, and reclaims his place as king. 
Scene 

  • A key scene is when Simba sees his fathers ghost in the clouds. This is a pivotal moment in the film, guiding him to return to the Pride Lands and take responsibility for its destiny.
 Exposition 

  • The exposition introduces Simba, the Pride Lands, and his relationship with his father, Mufasa. We learn about the Kingdom hierarchy and the threat posed by Scar, Mufasa's brother. This sets up the emotional stakes of Simba's journey.
Conflict

  • Simba's internal conflict is guilt and self -doubt after his father's death. He feels responsible and runs away to avoid confronting his past. The external conflict involves Scar's desire to overthrow Mufasa and rule the Pride Lands, which leads to Simba's exile.
Complication 

  • The complication arises when Simba is manipulated by Scar. Simba realizes his true identity as the rightful king and battles Scar for control of the kingdom.
Climax 

  • The climax occurs when Simba returns to to the Pride Lands and confronts Scar. Simba realizes his true identity as the right king and battles Scar for control of the kingdom .
Denouement

  • After Simba defeats Scar, the Pride Lands are restored to their former glory. Simba takes his place as king and peace is restored. the circle of life continues as Simba and Nala start their own family.
Peripeteia 

  • The peripetia (a sudden reversal of fortune) happens when Simba, initially running away from his past, returns to take his place as king. The moment when he sees Mufasa's spirit in the clouds is a turning point, leading to his decision to return.
Protagonist 

  • Simba is the protagonist. He is the character who undergoes the most significant transformation. His journey is one of self - discovery, responsibility, and redemption.
Antagonist 

  • Scar is the antagonist. He is the one who causes Simba's suffering and stands in opposition to Simba's rightful place as king. 
Main Plot 

  • The main plot follows Simba's journey from being a carefree cub to becoming the king of the Pride Lands after reclaiming his throne from Scar. It's about Simba's growths, his responsibility, and accepting his role as a leader.
Subplot

  • The subplot involves Timon and Pumbaa's friendship with Simba as he grows up, helping him deal with his past and teaching him to "Hakuna Matata"(no worries). Their support helps Simba find the strength to return to his destiny.
